Walmart Applies to Test Drone Hardware

On October 15th Walmart announced its application to the federal regulators to test home delivery drones. Their focus? The application of drones for previously labor intensive warehouse monitoring. What’s the primary motivator for the world’s largest retailer? Fighting back comparatively high labor cost in comparison to Amazon, as well achieving more time efficient home delivery as consumers choose have their items come to them at record numbers. So what’s the result?
