Plot-Twist: 7-Eleven Beats Amazon, Facebook and Google

An unlikely contended has struck a come from behind early win. While Amazon was proudly boast of it's first drone delivery, 7 Eleven announced days after that it has completed 77 delivers by drone making it the first company in the US to apply the technology to its regular operations. Consumers were able to receive food, hot dogs, beverages and perhaps sludge-like midlife crisis-strong coffee at home in matter of 10 minutes on average.

7-Eleven Beats Amazon, Facebook and Google

Reno, Nevada was the launching ground for a drone program and 7 Eleven and Flirty, a commercial drone startup that’s working towards moving the technology into every foreseeable industry in the near future. But what’s keeping you from getting a day old donuts and pack of Swisher Sweets dropped on your lawn? The FAA who’s still confused as to what’s going on over it’s head, and how the drone wars will be regulated. The same hurdle that led Amazon to test its first flight in the UK instead of the US. Despite this, 7 Eleven’s rapid application of drone technology says two things

The first is that this isn’t Google, Facebook, Apple or Microsoft; this is ‘thank you have a nice day’ 7-Eleven. This shows no industry is safe, and the wide-scale application of drone technology is relevant to an unpredictable array of players. Lastly; Rapid implementation of drone technology represents the first time in a long time that ‘innovation’ lives off of a screen. This isn’t an intangible application or software device but a timely marriage of hardware and microchip that takes the competitive advantage away from ‘the tech industry’.
